Another day, another train & another hostel & another currency & another language & another & another & another ….

OUTLINE

  • Check out of Berlin hostel.
  • Train to Warsaw
  • Change money to Zlotis
  • Book tickets for train to Vilnuis, Lithuania. Nice one Marta.

I went ‘free breakfast’ loco filling  up for a long day of sitting.

My luck is turning. I got out of paying for the hostel. 70 Euros in the bank.

An A.T.M. accepts my Nationwide card and gives me some cash. It seems the building society only exaggerated.

Traveling to Poland from Germany is like moving backwards in time, and the train station is totally confusing.

Warsaw looks amazing on first glance – deeper snow & the start of Eastern block architecture.

Oki-Doki hostel is the best, simple as.

NYD 2009, isn’t everyone supposed to  be hungover

OUTLINE

  • Wake up late with a brain shredding hangover.
  • Manage to stagger 500 yards to see the Reichstaeg.
  • Meet up with Josie and pals to say hi!
  • Eat in the lesser seen artsy quarter of Berlin.
  • Straight back to the hostel at a very boring 9pm for sleep and my daily repack

The snow in the park looks amazing even when you feel rough.

My Moroccan lunch was very tasty but Jay’s crazy yogurt covered Cornish pastie mess was rubbish. Don’t order the Manti!

My hard drive freaked out and mashed up all my pictures. The run of bad luck continues….

Honeymoon period is over, the real work begins

OUTLINE

  • Generation Europe Brussels Hostel to Brussels Midi via a very scary taxi ride
  • Train to Koln
  • Connecting train to Berlin
  • Book into our Berlin Hostel
  • Show the Germans how to celebrate New Years!

On the Koln stopover my search for the ‘International Snack Champion’ (I.S.C) begins. A giant cheesy pretzel scores a solid 7/10.

I lost my phone in the dash from our hostel  – if your out there please get in touch!

We taxied to our hostel to save any more marching through unsavoury areas. A Belgium hangover.

Card rejected at the German hostl. Nationwide are liars.

The Brandenburg gate at New Years resembles a war zone complete with screaming and a million explosions.

Euro pop sucks.

Maria is a mad party hard club with big queues and big etry fees but it was ace.

Hope all is well

Welcome to my old friends at Taylor Young. Let me know how you think I’m doing leave some comments or drop me an email. How is the office? If Manchester starts getting you down hit the rails and join me behind the iron curtain. It’s cold but its a wild old time.

“to live is to blog but to blog is not to live….”

This thing is becoming a chore and it shouldn’t be. The other night my buds went out and I had to stay in typing up my diary entry. Rubbish.

From now on the posts won’t quite be so extensive. They will take the form of brief out lines of the days events and will include photos I’ve taken as well as some additional info. I think that should satisfy you greedy little lot. It’ll certainly give me more time to actually live my trip in order to have some adventures to write about on this blog.

See you back here real soon for some quick fix style traditional short attention span blogging.

A window onto my:

thoughts, adventures, friends, hopes, fears, likes, dislikes, interests, beliefs, hobbies, goals, troubles, dreams and woes. In short my life. Go on have a little read it's bound to make you feel better about yours.
